GEORGE TOWN, October 25 – Tech Dome Penang organised the annual Deepavali STEM event yesterday, festival of light and our guest of honour is YB PROF DR.P. RAMASAMY, Deputy Chief Minister II and Board Chairman of Penang Tech Centre and accompanied by YB Satees Muniandy ADUN Bagan Dalam and Board Member of Penang Tech Centre and Mr Khoo Boo Wooi Chief Executive Officer, Penang Tech Centre.
A special STEM workshop “DIY light-up cards” was conducted using LEDs which educate the young students on basic electronics knowledge during this auspicious celebration. Total of six schools invited, they are from SJKT Perai, SJKT Ladang Perai, SK St. Marks Perai, SK Convent Bukit Mertajam, SJKC Keow Kuang JKC Beng Teik Pusat with 280 student and 30 teachers to make the event even merrier. Multiracial students celebrating this Deepavali festival together.
This whole programme upskilled the technology knowledge as well as showcasing Indian culture among the young students in this special occasion. A special thanks to YB Prof Dr. P. Ramasamy and YB Chong Eng for sponsoring this event and giving students a chance to explore exhibits and inculcate interest in science.
