GEORGE TOWN, November 1 – Chief Minister of Penang, Chow Kon Yeow on Tuesday was tested positive for COVID-19 and will rest for a few days, said the Chief Minister’s Special Investment Adviser, Datuk Seri Lee Kah Choon. Kah Choon said, Kon Yeow needs to rest for a few days before he can carry out his duties as usual.

For now he will follow standard operating procedures (SOP) as usual, it’s just normal Covid-19, so nothing to worry too much about. According to Kah Choon, he was only in contact with Kon Yeow through phone calls and text messages. Earlier, the Chief Minister of Penang said on his official Facebook that he underwent a self-screening test for Covid-19 this morning and was found to be positive.
