MELAKA, November 8 – Melaka Police approved a total of 46 speech permit applications for the 15th General Election (GE15) within three days from last candidate nomination day. Malacca Police Chief, Datuk Zainol Samah said that all political parties are advised to submit their ceramah permit application to their respective district police headquarters (IPD) first to hold any form of ceramah.
We will help facilitate the permit application process, but it is necessary to follow the law and standard operating procedures (SOP) set, he said in a statement here, on Tuesday. He added that during that period his party also opened an investigation paper related to the treasonous crime of uprooting the opposing party’s flag on the third day.
