KUALA LUMPUR, November 16 – A total of 94.72 percent or 212,961 voters including security personnel and spouses have performed their responsibilities as early voters for the 15th General Election (GE15), and the By-Election (PRK) of the Bugaya State Legislative Assembly (DUN), in Sabah yesterday. The Secretary of the Election Commission (SPR), Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak in a statement said that the early voting process involved military personnel and spouses, police personnel and General Operations Forces (PGA) and spouses.
Therefore, he said, the EC would like to congratulate all the Election Management Officers and the team for carrying out their responsibilities very well for the early voting process which started at 8 am. Appreciation and thanks are also extended to the Royal Malaysian Police, the Malaysian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Health, the National Security Council, the Local Authorities, the Department of Information, the media and all parties involved directly and indirectly for all the cooperation and support that has been given to the SPR,” he said.
