KUCHING, November 17 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) has increased momentum in gaining the support of voters in Peninsular Malaysia ahead of the four days of the 15th General Election (GE15). Sarawak Democratic Action Party (DAP) chairman Chong Chieng Jen said the results were the result of a survey conducted by various research institutions at 6am yesterday. Because of that, he said, PH needs at least 12 seats from Sabah and Sarawak to form the Federal Government.
Through the survey conducted, PH has a chance to win 90 to 100 seats in Peninsular Malaysia. Barisan Nasional (BN) is likely to win between 32 to 42 seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN) is likely to win 42 to 52 seats,” he said at a press conference at Jia Jia Court here today. Meanwhile, Chong said, for PH to win 22 seats from Sabah and Sarawak may seem like a difficult task, but to win 12 seats is not impossible.
