IPOH, November 20 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim won big in the Tambun Parliament by obtaining 49,625 votes and a majority of 3,736 votes. The President of the People’s Justice Party (PKR) defeated the main challenger, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu who is also the Deputy President of the Bersatu Indigenous People’s Party (Bersatu).
Ahmad Faizal as the incumbent got 45,889 votes while BN candidate Datuk Aminuddin Md Hanafiah got 28,140 votes and Pejuang candidate Abdul Rahim Tahir got 1,115 votes. The official results were announced by the Tambun Parliamentary Elections Officer, Datuk Mohamad Fariz Mohamad Hanip at the Official Vote Counting Center at the Sultan Azlan Shah Training Institute of the Ministry of Health, Tanjung Rambutan here.
