KUALA LUMPUR, November 21 – Barisan Nasional (BN) is now the ‘king maker’ in forming the new government despite only winning 30 parliamentary seats in the 15th General Election (GE15) on Saturday. It followed without the support of BN, Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) who each won the most seats and the second most failed to form a new government despite having the support of other parties.
PH which won 82 seats still has to choose to work with other parties and in this case, Barisan Nasional (BN) which won 30 seats, or Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) (22 seats), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) (six), Parti Warisan (Warisan) (three), Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) (one), Parti Kesehatteraan Democratic Masyarakat (KDM) (one) in addition to two seats through two independent candidates.
