KUALA LUMPUR, November 22 – PAS calls on all parties to respect the decision of the people who voted in the 15th General Election (GE15) last Saturday. PAS President, Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said, PAS also wants all parties to prevent any form of provocation that could threaten the harmony of the country and continue to respect the law and uphold the Constitution.
“Malaysia is currently going through an important phase of government formation through the process of Parliamentary democracy and Constitutional Monarchy. PAS insists on preserving the country’s political and economic stability and further warns any party not to ‘nod in murky waters and never be called a hornet’s nest’,” he said in a statement this morning.
Yesterday, the Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Acryl Sani Haji Abdullah Sani said, the police warned and stressed social media users to refrain from abusing the platform. He said, the police also issued a warning due to many social media content touching on racial and religious sentiments and insulting royal institutions since GE15 took place.
