KUALA LUMPUR, November 22 – With less than four hours left before the deadline for political parties to send the number of coalitions and candidates for the position of prime minister, Perikatan Nasional (PN) confirmed receiving another statutory declaration letter (SD) enabling the coalition to form a government. The matter was stated by PN Secretary General, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin through a media statement on Tuesday.
PN has received another statutory declaration letter from another Member of the House of Representatives expressing confidence in PN Chairman, Tan Muhyiddin Yassin to be appointed as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia. “This statutory declaration letter was sent to Istana Negara this morning,” he said. On Monday, the Istana Negara announced that the deadline for political parties to submit their coalition numbers and candidates for the prime minister post was postponed to 2pm on Tuesday.
