KUALA LUMPUR, November 23 – Negotiations on whether Barisan Nasional (BN) will be with Pakatan Harapan (PH) or Perikatan Nasional (PN) is the decision of the Supreme Council of BN. It is understood that BN has formed a committee consisting of seven consultants led by the Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi; Deputy Chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan; Vice Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, Tan Sri Joseph Kurup; Secretary General, Datuk Seri Dr Zamri Abdul Kadir; Datuk Seri M Saravanan and Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
In the meantime, BN’s negotiations with PH as well as BN and PN have also been completed and it is understood that this evening, Mohamad will bring the decision to the UMNO Supreme Council meeting for council members’ views. In addition, the decision is also said to be brought to the BN Supreme Council meeting on Thursday and then presented to the 30 BN Parliament members.
During the negotiations with PH, UMNO Vice President Ismail Sabri is believed not to be involved and the negotiations with PN on Wednesday were not attended by Ahmad Zahid because he had a fever and was led by Mohamad. In the meantime, it was also informed that all the results obtained will be determined by the Supreme Working Council (MKT) of UMNO and BN.
