SHAH ALAM, December 6 – The Election Commission (EC) has informed that a total of 161,063 voters are expected to vote in the 15th General Election (GE15) involving 63 polling stations for Parliament P017 Padang Serai in Kedah and State Assembly (DUN) N42 Tioman in Pahang. The EC in a statement said that a total of 132,955 voters are expected to vote in the Padang Serai Parliament while the Tioman state assembly involves 28,108 voters.
“A total of 46 polling centers and 230 polling stations will be opened for the purpose of voting for the P017 Padang Serai Parliamentary Electoral Division which also involves a total of 2,468 officers who will be on duty for this voting process later. While for the N42 Tioman State Assembly Election Division, Pahang, a total of 17 polling stations containing 52 polling stations will be opened involving 506 officers.
“The EC hopes that all voters fulfill their responsibilities by voting,” he said in a statement on Tuesday. In the meantime, the SPR advises voters to go out to vote according to the encouraged voting time as noted on the MySPR Semak application. If voters are unable to attend the encouraged polling time for certain reasons, voters can still vote according to the available time from 8 am to 6 pm or the time that has been gazetted.
