PUTRAJAYA, December 9 – Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim unveiled the list of 28 deputy ministers who will assist him in the Unity Government cabinet. The appointment included representatives from Pakatan Harapan (PH), Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Parti Warisan (Warisan). Anwar limited only one deputy minister to each ministry for his small cabinet, except for the Ministry of Finance while no Deputy Minister of Religion was appointed.
UMNO Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan and DAP Steven Sim were both named as deputy finance ministers Aside from the two, other notable appointees include former Melaka chief minister Adly Zahari as the deputy defence minister, Liew Chin Tong as deputy international trade and industry minister, as Umno’s Datuk Seri Shamsul Anuar Nasarah as the deputy home minister.
