BATANG KALI, December 19 – The search and rescue (SAR) operation for the remaining nine victims missing in the landslide disaster at the Father’s Organic Farm campsite, Jalan Genting, here entered its fourth day on Monday. The main rescue agencies involved are the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the Civil Defense Force (APM).
Also involved are the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) and the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA). It is understood that the operation continued at 8 am, as of 9 am, the weather is slightly cloudy. The service of the Detection Dog Unit (K9) in addition to the use of excavators and ‘Ground Penetrating Radar’ (GPR) will continue to locate victims in the ground.
