KUALA LUMPUR, January 5 – Sabah-based logging company Timberwell Berhad announced the resignation of Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing from the company effective Tuesday. In a notification to Bursa Malaysia, the company stated that the reason for the resignation of the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture was due to other personal commitments.
The Bintulu Member of Parliament’s last position in the company was executive director and managing director. King Sing, 61, is the President of the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party who was appointed as Tourism Minister by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in December last year.
