PUTRAJAYA, January 6 – The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim jokingly suggested that any journalist who has not yet taken a booster dose should do so following the increase in Covid-19 cases. He said, with the steps taken by the media officer, it is hoped that he will be able to set an example for other people. Among other things, he said, Malaysia currently also has a large ‘excess’ of the Covid-19 vaccine due to the fact that there are still many who have not taken the booster dose.
(So far) for the booster dose, only 49 percent (have taken it). So, the remaining dose is about six million (and that’s why) I propose (we) start with journalists who haven’t taken the first booster dose to take because of the infection This is according to the projections and studies of the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) which is still uncertain.
So, for the month of January, all journalists are required to take a booster dose and then follow up with the rest of the people because if journalists set a good example, they will be followed by the people through their essays (news delivery) he said. He said this in a press conference after the cabinet meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office here on Wednesday.
