KUALA LUMPUR, January 7 – There are still some parties trying to take advantage of profiting through flood mitigation projects in this country. The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said, he has urged his officials to negotiate again to ensure that there is no attempt to profit from certain parties. “Indeed I spoke to my officer that I was angry, I said renegotiate, make sure the cost is lower, cancel the people who damaged (what is described as) the facade in the Quran.
“Sometimes they read (about facades), but they support people who do facades in the world. “Kaut, kaut, kaut. This is proven and if challenged I have the proof, I am not talking empty,” he said in the talk show, Naratif Khas with the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Friday. In the meantime, the Tambun Member of Parliament said that strict lessons need to be taught to those who profit from projects involving the interests of the people.
“If you look at the flood mitigation files, say Menara KL, Jana Wibawa, in each case there is only an attempt to unload wealth for big figures. So I have the opportunity, God willing, to take action so that it becomes a lesson to (perpetrators) past and present,” he said.
