KUALA LUMPUR, January 9 – Former Vice President of the People’s Justice Party (PKR), Tian Chua described the action of announcing the dismissal of him and four other members of the party to the media in advance as unprofessional and disrespectful. Tian Chua in his statement on Facebook said that he was very sorry for the actions taken by the Chairman of the PKR Disciplinary Board, Datin Dr Tan Yee Kew.
“The Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee has chosen to announce my dismissal to the media before sending any notification to me and other individuals concerned. This very unprofessional act is deeply regrettable and disrespectful,” he said on Monday. On Sunday, PKR officially sacked Tian Chua following the leader’s action as an Independent candidate in the Batu Parliament in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Tian Chua said, as a PKR activist who witnessed the birth of the movement and was continuously involved in the struggle for more than two decades, of course he was saddened and disappointed by the decision. He said that throughout the course of the struggle with the party, he never did anything that was against the principles or political objectives of the party.
