KUALA LUMPUR, January 28 – Former UMNO Youth Leader, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar gave his first response shortly after the party sacked him on Friday. Through a tweet on his Twitter, the former Member of Parliament for Rembau stated that he was not disappointed or resigned to his dismissal as a member of UMNO.
“Tonight I was sacked by the party I love, to which I give loyalty. Unbowed, unbent, unbroken,” he said on Saturday. Apart from Khairy, also sacked was former Selangor UMNO Chairman, Tan Sri Noh Omar who contested his suspension and requested that the party President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi sack him from the party.
UMNO also suspended the membership of several other leaders, among them Sembrong Member of Parliament who is also former Vice President, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and former Information Chief, Shahril Sufian Hamdan for six years.
