ALOR SETAR, February 2 – The cooperation between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) has so far not been able to match the wave of Perikatan Nasional (PN), even the people’s support for PN is expected to continue in the next State Election (PRN). Kedah State PN Chairman, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said that PH and BN are still not able to sleep in the same room despite forming the Federal Government after the 15th General Election (GE15).

According to him, the dismissal and suspension of membership of several UMNO leaders a few days ago at the party’s Supreme Working Council (MKT) meeting not only affected the people’s support for BN but was also expected to affect PH in the PRN. “We are trying to (capture) Negeri Sembilan and Selangor. It is not impossible with the current wave, momentum, and will of the people. “Pengang was retained (by PH), (but) they conceded by losing some seats there (in GE15). The momentum will be maintained and even increased until PRN.

“We have an approach. We have a strategy. We already have a plan to implement, but let’s see what PH-BN can do, it seems that they can’t sleep in a room yet,” he said at a press conference on Tuesday night. He said this to comment on the statement by Arau Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim that the PN is capable of capturing Selangor and Negeri Sembilan in addition to keeping Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu in the PRN.
