KUALA LUMPUR, March 2 – In line with the strategic steps under the implementation of the Malaysia MADANI Framework, today I officiated the Pre-Launch of the Mobile Internet Integration Package at the Public Housing (PA) Desa Rejang, Setapak. This prepaid package offers lower prices specifically for Youth, B40, Disabled (OKU), Seniors, Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans, Royal Malaysian Police Retirees and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency. This price reduction covers prepaid mobile package subscriptions provided by telecommunication service providers CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, Telekom Malaysia (TM) and YTL Communications.
Through the Unity Package, qualified people can enjoy 30GB of 3Mbps data by only paying RM30 and it is valid for six months. Users can also refill by simply buying an Internet pass if the 30GB data quota is used up before the six-month period. Touching on digital connectivity, until February 2023, Setiawangsa Parliament has 55 5G base stations and two of them are located in PA Desa Rejang. This Parliament also has three Digital Economy Centers (PEDi) each in PPR Kg. Baru Air Panas.
PPR Seri Semarak and at PA Desa Rejang which provides various ICT courses and training, sharpening skills on e-commerce thus opening opportunities to generate income online. The initiative implemented by KKD in strategic collaboration with this service provider company is also in line with the Unity Government’s desire to help reduce the cost of living and ensure comprehensive digital connectivity outlined under the Malaysia MADANI framework can be achieved.
