PUTRAJAYA, March 9 – Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Tan Sri Azam Baki, confirmed that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will be charged tomorrow. Speaking to Bernama, Azam said that the former prime minister was currently being interviewed after the National Alliance Chairman arrived at the MACC Headquarters here at 11.15 this morning.
Yesterday, the Pagoh Member of Parliament denied allegations that he was arrested by the MACC while playing golf at a golf course in Selangor, as reported by several media portals. The MACC had previously frozen the accounts of the Bersatu party, and several individuals including the party’s Head of Information Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan and the Deputy Head of Bersatu Segambut Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad, were charged in court in connection with the Jana Wibawa (Jana Wibawa) project.
The development of the investigation into the case was covered by many local and foreign media practitioners, in addition to Muhyiddin’s supporters who gathered outside the MACC building since 7 this morning.
