His Majesty and his wife arrived at the mosque grounds around 8.15am accompanied by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Also present during the ceremony were the Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil; Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail; Minister of International Trade, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz and Minister of Religion, Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar. Sultan Abdullah and the congregation then said takbir raya before performing the Aidilfitri circumcision prayer led and preached by the Imam of the National Mosque, Ehsan Hosni.

After the prayer, His Majesty went home while greeting the people. Meanwhile, Ehsan when delivering the Aidilfitri sermon touched on the harmony among community members in conjunction with the Eid. According to him, although humans cannot run away from differences, a unity and understanding can still be achieved. Thus, Hari Raya Aidilfitri is one of the starting points for harmonizing human relationships, especially for those who are Muslim.
