KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 – Thirty children from the Rainbow of Love School had their dreams come true as they immersed themselves in a day of role-playing at KidZania Kuala Lumpur. Ranging from 9 to 16 years old, these children had the opportunity to experience various real-world professions, from traditional roles like firefighters, medical professionals, policemen, and cabin crew, to modern careers like animators, robotics engineers, and trendy F&B operators, including making bubble tea. Organized by the Humanitarian Aid Selangor Society, the Rainbow of Love School provides education for asylum seekers and refugee children living in Malaysia.

It serves as a sanctuary for these disadvantaged children who are unable to attend local public schools. Suu Balm, an award-winning itch relief skincare brand, and KidZania Kuala Lumpur joined forces to empower and broaden the horizons of these underserved children, while also bringing some festive cheer during the Hari Raya season. KidZania, Malaysia’s premier edutainment facility for children, offers a city of dreams where children can gain real-life experiences and explore a world of possibilities for their future aspirations.

Within KidZania, the Suu Balm establishment provided children with a storytelling session to learn more about the brand, various skin conditions, and how to relieve and care for them. Formulated by expert dermatologist Dr. Tey Hong Liang from the National Skin Centre in Singapore, Suu Balm aims to rapidly soothe and relieve dry, itchy, and sensitive skin. The brand has a special range dedicated to children’s skincare and is currently the fastest-growing derma skincare brand in Malaysia. Their product range includes creams, cleansers, shampoo, and spray for people of all ages.

Based on research data, Suu Balm cream users experienced relief from itchy skin within five minutes* of application. Shann Bong, National Business Manager from Suu Balm, emphasized that sensitive and itchy skin affects about 20% of children in Malaysia and can lead to discomfort and disruption in their daily lives. Through this initiative, Suu Balm aims to raise awareness about dry, itchy, and sensitive skin while empowering the underserved community with knowledge about good hygiene and consistent personal care routines, all in a playful and engaging manner.

During the event, the children learned how to care for their skin through a facial activity at Suu Balm’s establishment in KidZania Kuala Lumpur. They had the option to become junior skin experts or enjoy facials as customers. Additionally, a coloring contest added to the fun-filled day. Philip Whittaker, CEO of Sim Leisure Group, expressed his delight at witnessing the children having so much fun and their faces lighting up throughout the activities.

At KidZania, the focus is on nurturing young minds and imparting valuable life skills through hands-on play, as it is one of the most effective ways to engage children of all ages. The collaboration between Suu Balm Malaysia and KidZania Kuala Lumpur not only brought joy and educational experiences to the children of the Rainbow of Love School but also highlighted the importance of skincare and hygiene in a fun and interactive manner.
