SHAH ALAM, June 13 – The Unity Government in Selangor should be retained in the upcoming State Election (PRN) due to its outstanding performance and dedication to the betterment of the state and the nation, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. During a speech at the Prime Minister’s Special Mandate Council to Selangor State Civil Servants held at the Perak Jubilee Hall, Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of preserving the Unity Government in Selangor.
He expressed his hope for the support of civil servants in Selangor, considering the state as a fortress of the Unity Government. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of supporting the existing government based on its track record of exceptional performance and commitment to advancing the state and country. Selangor, alongside Sarawak, has been recognized as one of the states that has achieved remarkable progress in the country.
“We support the existing government not just for the sake of supporting, but because we acknowledge its performance and dedication in saving our state and country. Therefore, I hope you understand the necessity for us to defend Selangor,” said the Prime Minister. He further emphasized that the support for the state government should not be based on sentiments or financial incentives but rather on the significant progress that Selangor has achieved under the current administration.
“It is not about sentiment or guaranteed wages. You believe in this state because it has demonstrated progress, making it one of the best states alongside Sarawak. We must defend and uphold this progress,” the Prime Minister stated. As the State Election approaches, the Prime Minister’s call to maintain the Unity Government in Selangor highlights the administration’s achievements and the importance of continuity in driving further progress for the state and the nation as a whole.
