KUALA LUMPUR, July 5 – Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Chairman of Barisan Nasional (BN), has emphasized the need for the coalition to showcase its strength by securing victory in all State Election (PRN) seats allocated to the party. He emphasized that the perception of a strong party holds no significance if it fails to achieve electoral success. As part of the Unity Government, where BN does not hold a dominant position, Ahmad Zahid highlighted the importance of recognizing this reality and focusing efforts on the forthcoming PRN in six states.
“We must prove our mettle in every seat allocated to BN in the PRN. Winning is essential,” he stated during a press conference held after the Inauguration Ceremony of the National 3K Love Squad at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Center (WTCKL). The ceremony served as a side event in conjunction with the ongoing 2023 UMNO General Assembly (PAU), which commenced on Wednesday and will conclude on Saturday.
Prominent figures such as UMNO Deputy President Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and UMNO Women’s Leader Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, along with top leaders from other parties, were also present at the event. With a focus on the upcoming state elections, BN aims to demonstrate its capabilities and ensure success in securing seats. Ahmad Zahid’s remarks highlight the coalition’s commitment to actively engage in the political landscape and secure meaningful victories.
