SHAH ALAM, August 2 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) Selangor have jointly launched “Tawaran Kita Selangor: Lima Tekad Untuk Lima Tahun Selangor” to offer the state’s citizens a comprehensive plan for the next five years. Spearheaded by Selangor’s Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, the initiative comprises 53 programs aimed at benefitting all segments of the population. The Tawaran Kita Selangor program outlines five main commitments, each designed to enhance stability and prosperity in Selangor throughout the next five years.
Chief Minister Amirudin Shari, who also serves as the Chairman of PH Selangor, emphasized that these are not empty populist promises, but tangible goals that will be diligently executed with the mandate of the people in the upcoming state elections on August 12. These five commitments are our pledge to the people of Selangor for the next five years. They represent the collective promises of all PH-BN candidates in Selangor and our entire team to make Selangor a stable, progressive, peaceful, and harmonious state, leading in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, he stated.
The official launch event, titled “Tawaran Kita Selangor: Lima Tekad Untuk Lima Tahun Kegemilangan Negeri Selangor,” took place at Dewan Raja Muda Musa, Seksyen 7, Shah Alam. During the ceremony, the unity among the leaders of PH and BN was evident, with Gobind Singh Deo (Chairman of DAP Selangor), Ir Izham Hashim (Chairman of Amanah Selangor), and Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin (Chairman of BN Selangor) present. The comprehensive “Lima Tekad” or “Five Commitments” include 53 offers that address various aspects of Selangor’s development. One key commitment, Tekad 1, focuses on fostering economic growth and providing high-quality education to create opportunities for high-income employment.
This will be achieved through initiatives like the development of modern agriculture, aerospace industry, rail and electric bus services, 5G services, robotics and automation, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and e-sports. The launch of “Tawaran Kita Selangor: Lima Tekad Untuk Lima Tahun Selangor” signals a proactive approach by PH and BN in strategizing for Selangor’s progress. The comprehensive programs aim to shape a thriving and innovative state that not only serves its people but also becomes a model for other regions to follow. With the state elections approaching, citizens will have the opportunity to decide the future direction of Selangor based on these well-defined commitments.
