SHAH ALAM, August 5 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy president Rafizi Ramli has emphasized that voters’ support for the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) alliance in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Penang is at its peak. Rafizi based his conclusion on information from various sources and field reports, refuting claims made by Perikatan Nasional (PN) that the three PH-administered states are bound to fall after the state elections.

During the Jelajah Perpaduan ceramah at Sungai Kandis, Rafizi addressed the claims made by PN leaders during their state polls campaign, where they insinuated that the PH-BN government would collapse if PAS and Bersatu manage to secure Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, two states that are currently under PH rule. “I dare say that the collapse of the unity government after the state polls as bandied by the PN leadership will not happen because the reports we have received showed the opposite,” Rafizi stated confidently.

Furthermore, Rafizi expressed skepticism about the longevity of the PAS-Bersatu cooperation, drawing on PKR’s past experience of being in alliance with them. His statements indicate that PKR remains optimistic about the stability and strength of the PH-BN alliance, as it strives to secure a strong showing in the upcoming state elections. The Election Commission (EC) has scheduled the state elections in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah, along with the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary by-election, to be held simultaneously on August 12, with early voting on August 8.
