KUALA LUMPUR, August 5 – Vietjet, a leading Vietnamese airline, has unveiled its latest addition to the fleet—a wide-body aircraft emblazoned with Vietnam’s tourism symbol “Vietnam – Timeless Charm.” This initiative is part of a sponsorship agreement with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, aimed at boosting tourism and showcasing the beauty of Vietnam to the world. Registered as VN-A814, the new aircraft took its inaugural flight on 12 July and will operate on both domestic and international routes, serving as an ambassador for Vietnam’s rich culture and tourism industry.
This marks the latest addition to Vietjet’s collection of aircraft adorned with tourism symbols, following previous A320 and A321 planes featuring Vietnam’s Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City’s Tourism logos. Passengers traveling between Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City will have the opportunity to witness the new tourism symbol firsthand, as Vietjet’s A330 aircraft connects Malaysia and Vietnam. With daily flights between the two cities, passengers now have increased flexibility and options when planning their travel itineraries.
Vietjet’s fleet, adorned with the vibrant red and yellow hues of the Vietnamese flag, along with the melodic strains of “Hello Vietnam,” combined with the tourism symbols, is expected to attract more tourists to visit Vietnam—a country known for its rich culture, history, and charm. Additionally, Vietjet’s aircraft carry meaningful messages about environmental protection, proudly displaying slogans such as “I Love My Fatherland.” Over the years, Vietjet’s fleet has become a familiar sight to international travelers and is warmly welcomed at airports across Asia and Europe.
These aircraft not only serve as transportation but also serve as ambassadors, introducing Vietnam to the world by exemplifying the country’s friendly and hospitable nature. Vietjet currently operates seven A330 aircraft and plans to expand its fleet of 87 aircraft, including nine Airbus A330 wide-body planes, this year. This expansion aims to maintain Vietjet’s position as a market leader in terms of passenger volume and operational efficiency in Vietnam. With the A330 aircraft featuring Vietnam’s tourism symbol, Vietjet aims to connect travelers to various destinations in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Japan, India, Kazakhstan, Australia, and more in the future.
