KUALA LUMPUR, August 6 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has issued an apology to the residents of Taman Medan and Dusun Tua for his absence at the Madani Unity Tour held in both locations last Thursday. In a Facebook post, Anwar explained that he was unable to attend the events as he needed to attend to and celebrate the visit of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, who was on a three-day state visit to Malaysia starting from 2nd August.

To make up for the missed events, Anwar announced that he will be present in Taman Medan tomorrow (Sunday) at 9 p.m., followed by Ampang at 10 p.m., and Hulu Kelang at 11 p.m. “I invite all supporters of unity to come and show their support for the PH-BN candidate in Selangor,” Anwar stated. Last Thursday, Anwar was originally scheduled to attend a public unity talk in Taman Medan at 10 p.m. and Dusun Tua at 11 p.m. ahead of the State Elections (PRN).
