GEORGE TOWN, August 10 – The people in states under the rule of Perikatan Nasional (PN) are advised to use the platform of the 15th State General Election (PRN15) wisely. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim advised voters to make wise choices in order to avoid facing damages (in state administration). Anwar, who is also the Chairman of Pakatan Harapan (PH), said that the people should learn from the states under the rule of PN. “That’s why I advise (to) save our states in this election. Don’t give a small signal (to win), be it Malays, Chinese, Indians, or other ethnicities. Don’t play games.
“Don’t neglect your right to vote. You decide which government you want to form. “If you compromise and play around with your votes, they (PN) will win and our country will be damaged. “What have they (PN) done in the states they govern? They think they are clean, but why are they facing court cases? It’s not my doing, it’s the investigation bodies,” he said. He made these remarks while speaking at the “Ceramah Jelajah Perpaduan Madani” event in Georgetown on Saturday.
Also present was Chairman of Barisan Nasional (BN), Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also the President of UMNO. The PKR President also emphasized that voters should no longer be deceived by promises that cannot be fulfilled. “Look at the water problem in Kelantan, the rare earth element (REE) theft case in Kedah, and the Empowerment of Respected Bumiputera Contractor Economy Program (Jana Wibawa). “Therefore, we must ensure that the Perpaduan Government remains until the next general election (PRU16). I want Pulau Pinang, Kedah, and all states having PRN to support our candidates,” he added.
