PETALING JAYA, August 12 – Mahsuri Food Sdn. Bhd. (“Mahsuri”) has announced its commitment to supporting aspiring culinary talents through its Chef Muda Mahsuri programme. In collaboration with the Food Institute of Malaysia (FIM), Mahsuri will provide scholarship opportunities for Malaysians who wish to enhance their culinary skills through the Certificate of Attendance in Malay Dishes Course.

Dato Mohd Roslan Mahayudin, Non-Executive Director of Mahsuri, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to offer scholarships to FIM students. While there are numerous scholarships available for those pursuing professional courses after completing their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Mahsuri aims to create opportunities for individuals interested in culinary arts and passionate about serving in this field.

Mahsuri is dedicated to making a positive impact on the local community, with a special focus on empowering young talents. Through the Chef Muda Mahsuri programme, the company will sponsor 10 students for the Certificate of Attendance in Malay Dishes Course at FIM. The scholarships will cover tuition fees, accommodation, and allowances, supporting the students’ 7-month culinary training and 3-month job placement, leading to a certification.

During the launch event held at FIM, Dato Roslan expressed his hope that the Chef Muda Mahsuri programme will contribute to the growth of professional chefs in Malaysia and inspire passionate youth to pursue careers in the culinary field. Through the partnership with FIM, the programme will provide practical and valuable training, nurturing young talented chefs to become future professionals. Ultimately, this initiative aims to contribute to the development of the Malaysian Halal culinary industry.
