KUALA LUMPUR, August 13 – In the wake of the recently concluded legislative assembly elections in six states, Unity coalition leader Anwar Ibrahim expressed his alliance’s acceptance of the people’s choice as the results were unveiled. Anwar, who also holds the position of Pakatan Harapan chairman and prime minister, emphasized the significance of respecting the democratic process and gracefully embracing the outcome.
“In a democratic system, we (must) respect the people’s decision and accept the outcome graciously,” Anwar stated during a gathering at Umno headquarters, located at the World Trade Centre. He urged citizens from all parties to come together, transcending victory or defeat, and work collectively to advance the nation’s well-being and safeguard the destiny of the populace.
