PUTRAJAYA, August 29 – The launch of the 5G Rahmah package will make 5G services affordable and accessible to the public, according to Fahmi Fadzil, the Communications and Digital Minister. This special package will be available from August 31 to December 31, 2023, offering bundled devices priced at no more than RM240. Two 5G smartphone options are available under the package: the Samsung A14 5G and Honor 90 Lite 5G. Users can enjoy this package for a monthly commitment as low as RM60, providing a minimum of 60GB of data. Fahmi Fadzil officially launched this initiative on Tuesday, August 29.

The package is open to all Malaysians, with the first 100,000 individuals from the B40 income group eligible for a subsidy of RM120 for the devices, further assisting this demographic in owning a 5G device. Additionally, phones purchased under the 5G Rahmah package will come with a 24-month warranty and a 24-month subscription contract. The launch of the 5G Rahmah Package is one of the Unity Government’s efforts to bridge the digital divide and make quality Internet access affordable to all.

Under this plan, users enjoy a bundled 5G device with a data plan for as low as RM60 per month, featuring Samsung A14 5G and Honor 90 Lite 5G smartphones available for as little as RM240. The first 100,000 subscribers from the B40 group can take advantage of the package with smartphone prices as low as RM120. In addition to this, the Rahmah Civil Servant Postpaid Incentive, introduced as a token of appreciation, allows civil servants to receive a monthly rebate of RM10 on their postpaid mobile package, translating to an annual savings of RM120.
