GEORGE TOWN, October 4 – IJM Land Berhad (“IJM Land”), the developer behind THE LIGHT development, announces a planned lane closure and traffic diversion on the fast lanes of both the George Town-bound and Bayan Lepas-bound routes. This traffic adjustment is scheduled to be in effect from October 15, 2023, to March 31, 2024, and is necessary to facilitate construction activities related to the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway median, specifically for THE LIGHT Interchange.
The construction work encompasses several key components, including the creation of new elevated ramps connecting to THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang and an extensive widening of the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway. These improvements are designed to enhance the existing infrastructure, ultimately benefiting the general public by providing a more robust transportation network.
