BATU KAWAN, October 21 – IKEA Malaysia turned dreams into reality by hosting its inaugural nationwide IKEA Sleepover, allowing a fortunate few to spend the night in their beloved IKEA store. The event took place simultaneously across all IKEA locations, providing IKEA Family Members with a unique in-store experience, featuring various performances and activities customized to each store. Each IKEA store had a distinctive and memorable main event to ensure an extraordinary sleepover experience. At IKEA Cheras, the highlight featured a special appearance by Nabil and Hawa, hosts of the popular talk show MELETOP.

During their hour-long segment, Nabil and Hawa shared their sleep routines and habits, showcasing their witty banter and participating in fun activities with the audience. At IKEA Damansara, participants enjoyed a live recording of Mamak Sessions, a well-known podcast hosted by Malaysian content creator Jinnyboy. Fans were entertained by the candid and humorous exchanges between Jinnyboy and co-hosts Shu Faye, Ryan, and Jobroseph as they delved into various topics that people typically discuss when they can’t fall asleep.

The IKEA Sleepover commenced with electrifying performances by local artists, setting the stage for a night of enjoyment and entertainment. Alena Murang, a Sarawakian musician, filled IKEA Damansara with the enchanting sounds of the sape, while indie band The Venopian Solitude amazed the audience at IKEA Cheras with their unique blend of electronic and traditional music. Audiences at IKEA Tebrau enjoyed a dreamy and retro-filled performance by the Malaysian band Babychair, and the alternative rock band Capt’n Trips and The Kid captivated the crowd with their distinctive sound at IKEA Batu Kawan.

A sleepover wouldn’t be complete without enjoyable activities. The IKEA Sleepover offered a variety of nighttime-themed activities designed to help participants prepare for a restful night’s sleep. From sleep yoga and body massages to bath salt workshops, there was something for everyone to enjoy. “The opportunity to spend the night at IKEA is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the array of activities and performances made it even more unforgettable.
