KUALA LUMPUR, October 27 — Maxis, one of Malaysia’s leading telecommunications providers, has unveiled its revamped Maxis Home Fiber and Maxis Business Fiber plans, aimed at enhancing the overall experience and value for its customers. The new plans provide higher speeds, more affordable prices, and several added features to cater to the growing digital demands of consumers and businesses. Under the Maxis Home Fiber portfolio, customers now have access to rate plans ranging from 100Mbps up to a blazing 2Gbps.
New subscribers will benefit from promotional pricing for the first 24 months, which includes a next-generation WiFi 6 certified router, installation, and the convenience of Home Zerolution for easy ownership of home devices. Additionally, the Maxis Home Fiber 1Gbps plan comes bundled with a free Max WiFi subscription for comprehensive wall-to-wall WiFi coverage within homes. Furthermore, existing Maxis Home Fiber customers with speeds of 100Mbps and above will enjoy a free speed upgrade, enabling them to benefit from faster speeds without a new contract.
This free speed upgrade will be carried out without extending their current contract, and they will retain their existing router and modem unless they choose to change them, subject to standard re-contracting terms and conditions. The most notable addition is the introduction of a 2Gbps plan, making Maxis the first telco in Malaysia to offer such high-speed connectivity. This plan also comes with a WiFi 6E router for a faster and more robust WiFi experience, reaching speeds of up to 1.8Gbps over WiFi when using WiFi 6E capable devices on the 6Ghz band.
