KUALA LUMPUR, December 3 — Xiaomi, the global technology leader, has joined forces with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Malaysia, taking a significant stride in its global Xiaomi Education initiative. This collaboration, which aligns with Xiaomi’s commitment to inspiring and empowering youth worldwide, saw the tech giant teaming up with UiTM’s Department of Creative Photomedia. Offering a unique mobile photography experience, selected students were provided with Xiaomi’s cutting-edge 13T series smartphones, co-engineered with Leica, to delve into the realms of creative expression through photography.
In this groundbreaking partnership, students embarked on a photography assignment, equipped with state-of-the-art Xiaomi smartphones. To enrich their learning journey, Xiaomi enlisted the expertise of local Photojournalist and Leica Photographer, Mr. Sadiq Asyraf, who conducted an exclusive Masterclass. Valued at RM 65,000 in industrial grant, this collaboration underscores Xiaomi’s dedication to nurturing creativity and technological exploration. The initiative seeks to foster a culture of innovation and artistic expression, with students’ photographic works set to be showcased in an exhibition, providing a platform for them to share their unique perspectives and talents with a broader audience.
