BAYAN LEPAS, December 15 – Lattice Semiconductor, a leader in low-power programmable devices, has announced the opening of a new office in Penang, Malaysia, as part of its global expansion strategy. The larger office space, located at Setia SPICE Canopy, Jalan Tun Dr. Awang, Bayan Lepas, Penang, will serve as an engineering and operations hub, supporting Lattice’s hardware and software portfolio.
Since establishing its presence in Penang in late 2021, Lattice has recognized the exceptional talent in the region and the strong support from the local government, contributing to its growth. The strategic location in Penang allows Lattice to strengthen relationships with partners in the region and solidify its position in the field-programmable gate array (FPGA) market. Mr. Friiscor Ho, Site Lead for Lattice Malaysia office, expressed gratitude for the support from Penang and emphasized the region’s importance in Lattice’s growth strategy.
The Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, highlighted Penang’s role as the “Silicon Valley of the East” and stressed the significance of providing services that elevate the region in the global value chain. The new office space in Setia SPICE Canopy will house over 200 highly skilled local personnel, focusing on applications, research and development (R&D) engineering, and operations.
