KUALA LUMPUR, December 16 – Pos Malaysia Berhad, the national postal and parcel service provider, introduced the “Palestin Merdeka” stamp in a ceremony officiated by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications. The stamp features a compelling image of a hand waving the Palestinian flag against a backdrop of silhouetted individuals, symbolizing Malaysians’ collective aspirations for lasting peace. The first day cover depicts a white dove with an olive branch, a universal symbol of peace, emphasizing Malaysia’s commitment to global harmony.

YB Fahmi Fadzil commended Pos Malaysia for its impactful demonstration of solidarity with Palestine, noting the stamp’s role in providing Malaysians with a tangible way to express support amid ongoing challenges. The minister affirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting Palestine, and the stamp initiative serves as a powerful reminder of Malaysians’ shared aspiration for humanity to transcend borders.

The “Palestin Merdeka” stamp launch was attended by YBhg. Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar, Chairman of Pos Malaysia, and Charles Brewer, Group Chief Executive Officer. Pos Malaysia pledges to donate a portion of the proceeds from the stamp sales to the Palestinian Humanitarian Trust Fund, managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
