KUALA LUMPUR, December 31 — UOB Malaysia has achieved a milestone by successfully pricing and privately placing EXSIM Group’s RM365 million four-year ASEAN Green Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) Sukuk Musharakah. Serving as EXSIM’s inaugural green issuance under the newly-established ASEAN SRI Sukuk Framework, UOB Malaysia holds the prestigious roles of Lead Arranger and Lead Manager for this transaction.

The ASEAN Green SRI Sukuk Musharakah, rated AA3 with a stable outlook by RAM Holdings Berhad, garnered exceptional support from investors, with total orders exceeding 3.9 times its issuance size. Ms Ng Wei Wei, Chief Executive Officer of UOB Malaysia, expressed delight in continuing support for EXSIM Group, emphasizing the significant demand for quality green investments and investor confidence in EXSIM’s green development projects. The issuance’s proceeds will fund EXSIM Group’s latest eligible assets – the beneficial interests in two development projects, D’Clover and D’Terra Residences, both located in Damansara Perdana and provisionally certified with Gold certifications from GreenRE.

Mr Lim Aik Hoe, Managing Director of EXSIM Group, conveyed gratitude for UOB Malaysia’s ongoing support, stating that this issuance reflects EXSIM’s commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible development. UOB Malaysia, having previously served as the sole arranger and manager for tranches under EXSIM’s RM2 billion Sukuk Musharakah Programme established in 2019, continues to contribute to the success of EXSIM Group’s development projects in the Klang Valley through structured finance transactions.
