KUALA LUMPUR, January 18 — Allianz Malaysia Berhad Group proudly concludes its Allianz Charity Day 2023, a successful volunteering initiative aimed at fostering a spirit of volunteerism among employees, contributing to the community, and championing environmental cleanup efforts. Over 1,042 dedicated Allianz Malaysia employees nationwide, along with five Directors, a former Director, and 36 volunteers from the Regional Delivery Centre of Allianz Technology Malaysia, participated in various activities encompassing beach, street, forest, river, and park cleanups, community engagement initiatives, sports events, charity runs, education support, food distribution to the needy, and empowerment programs for children.

The event witnessed active involvement from Allianz Malaysia Directors and Senior Management, exemplifying their commitment to volunteerism. Directors took on the role of chefs, preparing pasta at Save Environment Save Ourselves (SESO) Malaysia in Petaling Jaya, destined for beneficiaries at the PJ Caring Home. SESO Malaysia, an NGO combating food waste and poverty while fostering community building, served as a meaningful platform for this engagement. Allianz Malaysia, through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm, Allianz4Good, initiated Allianz Charity Day in September 2023, aligning with the World Cleanup Day and extending until December 2023.

The activities, including cleanups and volunteer engagements with various NGOs, accumulated over one tonne of ethically disposed trash in September. Head of Allianz4Good, Ng Siew Gek, expressed pride in the overwhelming support received from Allianz Malaysia employees, emphasizing the importance of volunteerism in the company’s culture and aspiring to make Every Day a Charity Day at Allianz Malaysia.
