IPOH, January 20 – The Perak government expressed optimism that the 26 opposition assemblymen in the State Legislative Assembly would cooperate fully in disseminating information about the Central Database Hub (Padu). State Communications, Multimedia, and NGOs Committee chairman Mohd Azlan Helmi stated that Padu provides added value and interest to all parties involved, contributing to the country’s progress.

The government aims to have 1.8 million residents aged 18 and above in Perak register in the Padu system by the end of March. Mohd Azlan emphasized the importance of an integrated approach in coordinating the efforts of departments and agencies involved with Padu. He assured that every department, agency, and assemblyman would play a role in ensuring the smooth progress of the Padu system.

The briefing on January 19 will discuss the distribution of work in an integrated manner and be coordinated by the Department of Statistics Malaysia, a key player in Padu’s success. The government’s outreach and collaboration efforts demonstrate a commitment to engaging all stakeholders in the effective implementation of the Padu system for the benefit of the community and overall development.
