Apple has broadened its AppleCare+ services in Malaysia, now offering coverage for a wider array of products, including iPhones, Apple Watches, AirPods, and Apple Displays. In addition to extending device warranty and support, AppleCare+ provides an extra layer of protection against accidental damages, addressing concerns about potential repair costs. With coverage extending up to three years, the service includes unlimited accidental damage protection with a fixed service fee, providing users with peace of mind against potential hefty repair expenses, particularly for products like MacBooks.

The expanded AppleCare+ coverage is a significant enhancement for Malaysian consumers, as it was previously limited to MacBooks, iPads, and Apple TV products. This move aims to streamline device protection options, reducing reliance on third-party protection plans. For iPhones, the AppleCare+ plan starts at RM379, offering two years of coverage with unlimited accidental damage protection and battery service coverage. Repair costs for screen or back glass damage incur a service fee of RM139, while other accidental damages are priced at RM469.

Similarly, AppleCare+ coverage for Apple Watches starts at RM249 for the Apple Watch SE, extending warranty coverage to two or three years, depending on the model. This allows users to address repairs with service fees ranging from RM329 to RM379. AirPods and Beats users can opt for AppleCare+ at a cost starting from RM199, offering two years of coverage and protection against accidental damages, battery issues, and cable problems. Apple Display users can also benefit from extended coverage for three years, with repair costs for screen damage at RM469 and other damages at RM1,429.

AppleCare+ provides users with the convenience of same-day repairs if Apple has replacement devices available; otherwise, users will receive a new unit promptly. The expanded AppleCare+ coverage eliminates the need for third-party protection plans and ensures direct access to Apple’s technical support and software expertise. Users can purchase AppleCare+ on the Apple website or through their device settings, with eligibility subject to the product model and a requirement to purchase the plan within 60 days of the original purchase date.
