KUALA LUMPUR, February 6 – At the ASEAN Tourism Forum, Agoda, the global digital travel platform, announced the third edition of its Eco Deals Program in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The program aims to support eight conservation projects across Southeast Asia, reinforcing Agoda’s commitment to responsible tourism.

As part of the initiative, Agoda will increase its donation to WWF-Singapore four-fold, contributing USD $1 million to conservation efforts in Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Eco Deals Program involves a donation of USD $1 for each hotel booking made on participating hotels, with funds supporting diverse conservation projects, including marine, forest, and wildlife preservation. Omri Morgenshtern, CEO of Agoda, emphasized the company’s responsibility to contribute to destination preservation.

The Eco Deals Program, active from March 3, 2024, to December 3, 2024, showcases a successful private-public partnership supporting the ASEAN Tourism Forum’s theme of “Quality and responsible tourism – Sustaining ASEAN Future.” The program’s past successes include initiatives such as training sessions for illegal wildlife trade identification, ranger training, reforestation activities, and wildlife monitoring, demonstrating the tangible impact of collaboration between Agoda and WWF in the conservation sector.
