KUALA LUMPUR, February 13 – Shopee Malaysia has unveiled its “Championing Inclusive Commerce 2024” study, surveying over 3,000 Shopee Affiliates. The study reveals that 9 out of 10 Affiliates are optimistic about e-commerce opportunities in 2024, with a strong focus on humanizing the digital shopping experience. The majority of Affiliates (75%) express enthusiasm for creating more personalized content, aiming to engage users through authentic posts and livestreams, ultimately driving more traffic to local sellers who align with their values.

Kenneth Soh, Head of Marketing at Shopee Malaysia, highlights the shift towards human-centric content, stating that Shopee Affiliates are leading the charge by providing users with genuine, relatable, and original content. The study emphasizes the increasing demand for authentic connections between buyers and sellers, with Affiliates playing a pivotal role in bridging this digital gap. A notable 94% of Affiliates anticipate a surge in user engagement through authentic content and interactive livestreams.

As part of the study, Shopee Affiliates expressed a commitment to championing local businesses in the digital realm, with 100% aspiring to drive more traffic to local sellers and 96% seeking collaborations with sellers aligned with their values. The study underscores the Affiliates’ dedication to supporting Made-in-Malaysia products and contributing to the nation’s digital economies.
