KUALA LUMPUR, February 27 – Mynic, the body responsible for managing .MY domain names in Malaysia, has announced that starting March 1, 2024, various products and services offered by Mynic will be subject to an 8% Sales and Service Tax (SST) charge. This marks an increase from the existing 6% rate, as previously announced by the government in the 2024 Budget. Encouraging users and domain name owners to renew before March 1, 2024, Mynic aims to facilitate a seamless transition and ensure users can benefit from the current SST rates.
