SINGAPORE, March 5 – Aerodyne Group (Aerodyne), a prominent drone-based enterprise solutions provider headquartered in Malaysia, has joined forces with DroneDash Technologies (DroneDash), a leading air mobility company based in Singapore, to introduce cross-border drone delivery services between Malaysia and Singapore. This groundbreaking collaboration aims to revolutionize logistics efficiency across the two countries and elevate the region’s delivery and supply chain capabilities.
The partnership between Aerodyne and DroneDash will facilitate the navigation of regulatory requirements, acquiring all necessary permits to initiate shore-to-shore drone operations along the Malaysia-Singapore corridor. Leveraging cutting-edge unmanned sea and air technologies, the initiative promises to usher in a new era of logistical efficiency, bolstered by a state-of-the-art navigation system featuring satellite communications and dual-city 5G roaming for safe and reliable drone operations in congested maritime and aerial environments.
Initially focusing on delivery routes to Johor Bahru and Iskandar Malaysia, this initiative sets the stage for expanded operations throughout Malaysia, with commercial activities slated to commence in the third quarter of 2024. With drones capable of carrying payloads of up to 30 kilograms and achieving speeds of 150 km/h over a four-hour flight span, the service aims to deliver secure and efficient solutions for critical deliveries, including urgent documents, high-value electronics, medical supplies, and perishable goods.
