KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 – In a bid to elevate the socioeconomic status of bumiputeras across various sectors, Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli announced plans to launch an innovative 10-year bumiputera empowerment initiative in June. This fresh approach aims to foster inclusivity and generate greater value within the bumiputera community by shifting focus towards entrepreneurial endeavors and value creation.
Rafizi emphasized the importance of transitioning from salaried jobs to entrepreneurship, enabling more bumiputera professionals to participate in business ventures and increase their income. The new strategy, shaped by insights from the Bumiputera Economic Congress (KEB) 2024, underscores the government’s commitment to nurturing a dynamic ecosystem conducive to growth and opportunity for all members of society.
