PUTRAJAYA, March 13 – The Health Ministry announced today that Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad was urgently admitted to a hospital in the early hours of the morning for emergency treatment. The minister was referred to the hospital’s emergency department due to suspected symptoms of renal colic.
Renal colic is characterized by intense pain caused by the obstruction of the urinary tract, often by kidney stones. While smaller stones can pass naturally through urine, larger stones may require surgical intervention. The Health Ministry stated that Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad is currently in a stable condition and receiving treatment. Well-wishes have been extended for his swift recovery, and prayers for his good health have been encouraged.
