KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli announced a substantial surge in registrations on the Central Database Hub (Padu) over the past week. As of March 24, 2024, registrations have soared to 7.7 million from the 5.4 million recorded on March 17, marking a significant increase. Notably, 35.1 percent of the registered individuals are aged 18 years and above.
With expectations that this figure will continue to rise, potentially surpassing 50 percent by the March 31, 2024 deadline. Rafizi urged the public not to delay registration, emphasizing the importance of completing the process before the deadline to ensure eligibility for assistance and subsidies. With daily registrations expected to rise steadily as the deadline approaches, individuals are encouraged to act promptly and update their data on Padu to avoid exclusion.
